The Segments page lists the segments you’ve saved. This page shows how to find one, change it, copy it and remove it, and what each of these does to the campaigns that already use it.

Find a segment

Go to Segmentation → Segment templates. The page that opens is called Segments. It lists every Public segment, the Restricted ones shared with your department, and your own Private ones. Admins see them all. Create a segment explains the three Permissions. The newest segments are at the top. Scroll down to load more. To find a segment, type part of its name in Search for segments. The list then shows the segments whose name contains what you typed, from A to Z. Capitals don’t matter. The search looks at names only. To sort the list, select Name, Size or Created at the top of the column. Select it again to change the direction. The Segments page, with the Search for segments box holding Spent 500+, and New segment at the top right. The list has the columns Id, Name, Size, Created and Created by, and one row: 3632, Spent 500+ in the last 30 days, an empty Size, 2026/10/09 16:25, and Test Automation. The row’s ⋯ menu is open, with Copy and Remove. The Segments list, with a row’s ⋯ menu open

Change a segment

  1. Select the segment’s row. It opens on the same two tabs you used to create it.
  2. Change the details or the rules. Create a segment covers the builder.
  3. Select Save. You go back to the Segments list.
To leave without saving, select Cancel.
Campaigns that already use the segment keep their old rules until someone syncs them.
Once the segment changes, the Member segment block in each of those campaigns shows Sync available on the canvas. Select it to bring that campaign up to date. Block reference covers the block. The orchestration canvas of a campaign named Autumn big spender rewards, in Design mode, with the Block library open on the left and Use templates collapsed on the right. In the middle is the starting block of Flow 1, a Member segment block linked to a saved segment. Its Attributes section is open on the block's own rules, Amount spent greater than 500 and Purchase date between 0 and 30 days ago, and below them is a blue Sync available button with an info icon. A Member segment block showing Sync available after its saved segment changed The Segments page doesn’t show which campaigns use a segment. So check with your colleagues before you change a segment that others might rely on. Anyone who can see a Public segment can change or remove it. To stop that, set its Permissions to Restricted or Private.

Copy a segment

A copy is the quickest way to make a variant of a segment, for example the same rules for a different store.
  1. Open the row’s ⋯ menu, then select Copy.
  2. The copy is saved straight away, and it opens. Its name is the original’s with (copy) at the end, and you’re its creator. It keeps the original’s description, rules and permissions.
  3. Rename it, change what you need, then select Save.
The copy isn’t linked to the original. Changing one doesn’t change the other. If you select Cancel, the copy stays on the list as it is. Remove it if you don’t need it.

Remove a segment

  1. Open the row’s ⋯ menu, then select Remove. You can also open the segment and select Delete.
  2. Remove segment asks you to confirm. Select Delete.
The segment disappears from the list.
Removing a segment can’t be undone.
Campaigns that use the segment keep running with their own copy of its rules. Their Member segment block still shows the removed segment’s name under Template, and its rules can’t be changed. To change them, open the block and select Unlink. Unlinking keeps the rules in the block.

Troubleshooting

Size comes from the last campaign that ran with the segment, whichever campaign that was. If another campaign ran after yours, Size shows its number. Hover Size to see when that run was.
It’s set to Private, or it’s Restricted to another department. Ask your colleague to change its Permissions. Also check the name you’re searching for, because the search looks at names only.
