# Offer examples: what you can build

> The discount shapes the promotion platform supports, with a worked example of each.

The promotion platform lets most of these configurations be mixed and applied to any offer, so you can run different promotion shapes and find what works for your customers and your business model.

<Warning>
  Don't stack too many limits on one offer. Complex combinations make it hard for a customer to understand what the discount is and how it was calculated.
</Warning>

<Warning>
  **Two things to resolve before this page ships.**

  1. **Availability is unstated.** The source table marked Product and Basket offers as *Available* and everything from Basket Reward onwards as "WL app support in January 2026" — a date now in the past. Each type needs re-checking against what actually shipped before the status is restated here.
  2. **Basket Tier (TotalStep) is missing.** The discount type exists in the product but appears in no page of the current wiki, so there was nothing to migrate. It needs writing from scratch.
</Warning>

<Info>
  **Migration note.** Restructured from `Offers > Offer examples`. The source was a single 30-row table with merged cells; it is split by offer level here so each shape can be linked to directly.
