# Edit, unpublish or reuse a bonus

> What you can still change once a bonus is live, how to stop one, and how to copy it or save it as a template.

This page helps you change, stop, delete or copy a bonus in Lobyco Nexus, or save it as a template.

## What you can change, and when

To change a bonus, open it from its row in the campaign's activity list. The row's **⋯** menu has the other actions on this page too.

| Status | What you can change |
| - | - |
| **Draft** | Everything. |
| **Scheduled** | Everything. |
| **Active** | Only the product files: the files on a **Product Bonus**, and the include or exclude files on a **Basket Bonus** or **Local Bonus**. The rest of the form is locked. |
| **Expired** | Nothing. The row's **⋯** menu offers **View** instead of **Edit**, and the form is read-only. |

A change you save to an active bonus reaches customers straight away, so Nexus asks you to confirm. Select **Update**.

To change anything else on an active bonus, [unpublish it](#stop-a-bonus) first, or [make a copy](#duplicate-a-bonus).

## Stop a bonus

You can stop a scheduled or active bonus.

1. Open the **⋯** menu on the bonus's row and select **Unpublish**. Or select **Unpublish** at the bottom of the bonus form.
2. In the dialog, select **Disable**.

The bonus goes back to **Draft**, and customers stop earning it. They keep the bonus they've already earned.

You can change it and publish it again whenever you're ready, even though the dialog says you won't be able to enable it again.

## Delete a draft

You can only delete a draft. To delete a live bonus, stop it first. Deleting can't be undone.

1. Open the **⋯** menu on the bonus's row and select **Delete**. Or select **Delete** at the bottom of the bonus form.
2. In the dialog, select **Delete**.

The bonus disappears from the campaign's activity list.

## Duplicate a bonus

To start a new bonus from one you already have, make a copy.

1. Open the **⋯** menu on the bonus's row and select **Duplicate as draft**.
2. In the dialog, select **Duplicate as draft**.

The copy is a new draft in the same campaign, named *Copy of* the original. It keeps everything else, including the bonus type, dates, files and segmentation. Change what you need to before you publish it.

## Save as template

You can save a bonus as a template, and then use it as the starting point for new bonuses. The bonus has to be saved before you can do this.

Select **Save as template** in the row's **⋯** menu. Or select it in the **▾** menu beside **Save**, at the bottom of the form.

There's no dialog. You'll know it worked when the row shows a **TEMPLATE** tag. To undo it, select **Remove from templates** in the row's **⋯** menu.

A bonus you create from a template starts as a draft named *Copy of* the original. It takes the campaign's dates, and it keeps the chains or stores and the segmentation. The bonus type and sponsor are cleared, so pick them again. [Reuse with templates](/business-documentation/campaigns/reuse-with-templates) walks you through the whole flow.
